Francisca M. Mok

Francisca Mok is an attorney with more than 20 years of experience representing clients in government investigations, white collar defense, and civil litigation. She is based in Los Angeles, California, and practices with the Law Offices of Steven Goldsobel. Her work includes Litigation – Securities, with a focus on complex disputes and regulatory matters involving significant financial and operational considerations.

Francisca represents corporate executives and board members, public and privately held companies, government contractors, health and life sciences organizations, and investment advisers. She regularly assists clients in matters involving investigations by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice, and other federal and state regulatory agencies. Many of these matters have involved whistleblower allegations, including claims asserted under the False Claims Act.

In addition to regulatory and securities-related matters, Francisca represents companies, business owners, and general and limited partners in business litigation involving allegations of fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and unfair competition. She also conducts internal investigations for companies, boards of directors, and special committees addressing allegations of employee or executive misconduct.

Prior to joining the Law Offices of Steven Goldsobel, Francisca was a partner at Reed Smith LLP, where she served for six years as the Century City Office Managing Partner. She previously practiced as a partner at McDermott Will & Emery LLP, advising clients across a range of complex litigation and enforcement matters.

Francisca received her undergraduate degree from Harvard College and her Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law. Her approach is direct and analytical, with an emphasis on practical, business-oriented strategies. She works closely with clients to develop legal approaches that take into account operational realities and long-term organizational objectives.
