Biography
With more than 20 years of experience handling government investigations, white collar defense, and civil litigation matters, Francisca Mok represents clients in complex, high-stakes disputes and regulatory investigations. She practices in Los Angeles, California, and is a member of the Law Offices of Steven Goldsobel, where her work includes Litigation – Securities.
Francisca has represented corporate executives and board members, public and privately held companies, government contractors, health and life sciences companies, and investment advisers. Her representations include guiding clients through investigations conducted by agencies such as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice, as well as other federal and state regulators. A number of these matters arose from whistleblower allegations asserting violations of the False Claims Act.
Her practice also includes representing companies, business owners, and general and limited partners in business disputes involving allegations of fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and unfair competition. In addition, Francisca conducts internal investigations for companies, boards of directors, and special committees addressing claims of employee or executive misconduct.
Before joining the Law Offices of Steven Goldsobel, Francisca was a partner at Reed Smith LLP, where she served for six years as the Century City Office Managing Partner. She previously practiced as a partner at McDermott Will & Emery LLP.
Francisca earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard College and her Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law. She is known for a direct and analytical approach focused on practical, business-minded solutions. She works closely with clients to develop strategies that align legal considerations with broader business and organizational goals.
