Mr. Whitfield applies the same attributes that brought him success in Olympic, International and Domestic competitions to his practice of family law. A fierce competitor, Evan excels in the courtroom litigating complex financial and custody matters; however, years involved in team environments allow him to recognize when collaboration serves the client’s goals more effectively.
Mr. Whitfield utilizes the focus, determination and perseverance gained during his years of professional competition to assist athletes, entertainers, professionals, business persons, and their spouses and significant others achieve their goals.
Mr. Whitfield received his Bachelor of Arts in Biological Anthropology & Anatomy with a focus in Primatology from Duke University. He played professional soccer for K.A.A. Gent in Belgium’s 1st Division and domestically for the Chicago Fire and Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer. While playing, Mr. Whitfield earned a Masters of Arts in Organizational Management and later, after retirement, earned his law degree from DePaul University with an emphasis in Family Law.
Mr. Whitfield was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2012 and is a monthly contributor to the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin in which he pens articles about the unique interplay between sports and entertainment professionals, their spouses and family law issues.
