Biography
Eugenio is Partner at Uhthoff in Mexico, where he leads the Patent Technical Department at the Firm and his main areas of expertise are Mechanics, Electronics, Industrial Designs, Telecommunications and IT. He oversees all matters related to technical advice for national and multinational companies for protecting their patent portfolio in Mexico and abroad.
He holds an Engineering Degree from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) in Mexico and an Industrial and Intellectual Property Law Diplomat from Universidad Panamericana (UP) Mexico.

Eugenio is an active member in several industries associations including the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI), deeply involved in the Patent Committee in which he acted as Chairman of the same for six years (2008-2014), he was the commissioner of the Educational Committee for six years (2015-2020) and now he is the Treasurer of the Association. Also, he is member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) participating as a regular speaker in Mexico and abroad for patent matters and very involved in the Latin America Committee being the responsible for the Mexican and the Central American regions (2011-2015). He was the Co- Chair of the Latin American Committee of AIPLA (2016-2019).
