Eugene Goryunov is an intellectual property trial attorney at Cherry Johnson Siegmund James PC in Washington, District of Columbia. He has participated in more than 500 proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Eugene frequently litigates cases in federal courts across the U.S. and manages appeals at the Federal Circuit. He also represents clients in Section 337 investigations at the U.S. International Trade Commission. Eugene has been recognized in patent law by Chambers USA, Intellectual Asset Management, and Managing Intellectual Property.
Eugene's experience includes representing a diverse range of clients in complex patent matters involving technologies such as consumer goods, high technology, networking, wireless telephony, medical devices, and therapeutics.
Eugene filed some of the first-ever IPR petitions and is a co-founder of the PTAB Bar Association. He co-authored the "Trial Lawyer’s Guide to Post-Grant Patent Proceedings," a treatise published by LexisNexis, along with numerous other publications. He serves on the Editorial Board of The Patent Lawyer and as Editor-in-Chief of the PTAB Bar Association’s Round-up of Round-ups. Eugene regularly engages in public speaking and writing about artificial intelligence and advises clients on patent prosecution, portfolio management, and litigation related to artificial intelligence.
