Erin is a Partner at Fogelman Law.
Erin was called to the Ontario bar in 2009, received her B.A. (Hons.) from McMaster University in Health Studies and Gerontology in 2004, and graduated from the joint J.D./M.S.W. program at the University of Toronto in 2008.
Before joining Fogelman Law, Erin summered, articled, and practiced family law with a well-known Toronto family law boutique, and subsequently practiced family law with a prestigious Bay Street firm.
Erin capitalizes on her Masters of Social Work and family law experience to represent her clients' best interests. This foundation has given her a broad insight and skill set in navigating the human dynamics within conflict resolution, and a keen sensitivity in parenting issues. Erin has experience drafting all forms of domestic contracts. She acts for clients in high conflict and complex support, property, and custody and access matters at all levels of court, in negotiation and in mediation and arbitration.
Erin has co-authored numerous papers, articles, and a book chapter (part of Evidence in Family Law), and is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and the Advocates’ Society.
During law school, Erin was actively involved in the student legal clinic, Downtown Legal Services in the Family Law Division, as a caseworker and an executive board member. Erin has also volunteered in community work with Camp Oochigeas, and as a Board member of the Creative Preschool of East Toronto. Erin completed her Social Work practicums at The Hospital for Sick Children and the Office of the Children's Lawyer.
Erin has three children, and enjoys running and travelling in her spare time.
