Biography
I became a trial lawyer because I trust myself to never give up on someone I am fighting for. It’s that simple. Once I agree to represent someone, that’s what I do. Tirelessly. No matter what. Whatever it takes. Until we win.
You can ask every client I’ve ever represented—they’ll tell you that the road to seeking justice (and I mean full justice) includes every terrain. There are challenges to overcome, battles to fight, and elation to feel when we we’ve met our goal together. But at the heart of every case is trusting that your lawyer has taken the burden off your shoulders and is in it for the long haul. That’s who I am, and who we are at Gunn | Slater.
I make it my business to be my client’s first call when they are unsure of the future or where to find answers to their questions. Building that rapport not only ensures that we’ll achieve the best outcome together, but it’s also what motivates me and my team to fight harder every day for our clients.
I try cases because the law makes sense to me. The harder I work, the better my client’s result. Through the law, I can ensure that my client is treated fairly; a courtroom being the only place on earth where a person can demand a reckless company or careless individual account for their actions.
Over my career, I’ve had the privilege to try cases in Missouri and Illinois state and Federal courts involving birth injuries, medical malpractice, child injuries and fatalities, brain injury, trucking collisions, motorcycle collisions, motor vehicle collisions, defective products, and wrongful death. I remember every story from every one of these cases. I’m very interested to hear yours.
