Eric Bremermann

Eric Bremermann is a partner and member of the Mergers & Acquisitions and Project Development & Finance Groups, as well as Co-Chair of the Energy Group in the Toronto office. Eric leads the firm's European Practice Group, where he plays a pivotal role in our business initiatives concerning Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Eric is highly regarded for his exceptional work in establishing and nurturing connections between the Canadian and European markets. Based in our Toronto office, Eric provides invaluable advice to German Mittelstand and other European-based companies, addressing their transactional and corporate law needs in Canada and within the North American framework.

His practice is primarily focused on corporate and commercial law, with a particular emphasis on Canadian-European cross-border issues. This includes advising on mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, financing, corporate governance matters, business and family succession, project development, and the establishment of subsidiaries within the CUSMA marketplace. Eric's extensive experience and expertise make him an outstanding resource for navigating the complexities of cross-border transactions and corporate strategies.

Eric also has specific expertise in renewable energy and independent power production. He has a wealth of experience advising clients on their entry into the Canadian market, particularly in the areas of acquisitions, the development and financing of power projects (including wind, solar, and hydrogen), and associated regulatory requirements.

He serves as a Director of the Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce and is a Founding Member of Atlantik-Brücke Canada, a bilateral organization committed to deepening German Canadian political and economic relations, where he serves on the Executive Board and on the Board of Directors.
