Emily P. Koekkoek is a shareholder at Sherr Puttmann Akins Lamb PC and a dedicated family law attorney serving clients throughout Colorado. Known for her compassion, strategic thinking, and tenacious advocacy, Emily has spent over a decade helping individuals navigate some of life’s most challenging transitions—divorce, custody disputes, post-decree modifications, and complex domestic relations matters. Experience & Approach
Emily earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2012, where she was a Dean’s Scholarship recipient. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University (2009). She has been practicing law since 2012, dedicating the entirety of her career to family law.
Emily handles a wide range of family law matters across Colorado, representing clients in divorce and dissolution of marriage, child custody and parental responsibilities, modification of child support, maintenance, and parenting time, adoption proceedings, paternity actions, dependency and neglect cases, legal separations, and family law appeals. She has also completed the 40-Hour Mediation Training with Judy Mares-Dixon and is a skilled mediator. Whether pursuing a negotiated settlement or preparing for trial, Emily’s approach is strategic, thorough, and always guided by her clients’ best interests.
