Elliot P. Saccucci is a Partner at Loopstra Nixon in Toronto, Ontario and serves as Head of the firm’s Sports Law Group. He is a member of the firm’s Labour and Employment Group, with a practice focused on Labour and Employment Law, Sports Law, administrative law, and workplace litigation.
Elliot advises employers, organizations, and individuals on a broad range of workplace and employment matters. His practice includes wrongful dismissal claims, workplace discipline and discharge matters, restrictive covenant disputes, picketing injunctions, human rights proceedings, employment standards matters, executive compensation, mass terminations, and litigation avoidance strategies. He also represents clients in judicial review applications and administrative law proceedings arising before tribunals and courts.
In his Sports Law practice, Elliot represents professional and amateur athletes, national and provincial sports organizations, and professional sports teams, including National Hockey League clubs. He regularly advises clients on salary negotiations, endorsement agreements, team selection matters, discipline proceedings, carding disputes, and doping-related matters. Elliot also acts as counsel and arbitrator in sports-related disputes and proceedings.
