Q&A

My practice handles the full spectrum of cases from straightforward matters to highly complex litigation, and I approach every one with the same intensity. Whether a case appears routine or extraordinarily complicated, it will be worked up thoroughly and pursued aggressively. Every client deserves that, and that's the standard I hold myself to.

The first thing nearly every prospective client wants to know is, "Do I have a good case?" My answer is always the same: "I don't know yet, and I can’t make any guarantees except that I’m going to work very hard to get you an answer.” What I can promise is that I'm going to dig in and ask the hard questions to get them a real answer. I think people appreciate the honesty. False hope doesn't serve anyone, but genuine effort does.

The nature of this work and my duty to my clients often prevents me from discussing specific matters due to confidentiality agreements. What I can say is that every year brings cases that push me to think harder, learn more, and fight more creatively on behalf of the people who've trusted me with some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Medical malpractice requires me to become conversant in medicine itself, not just the law. I have to walk into depositions and courtrooms prepared to engage meaningfully with physicians and specialists who have been experts in their respective fields for years, if not decades. That's a steep hill to climb, and it never fully levels out. But it's also what makes this work so compelling. Every case is an education.

My own family's experience with medical negligence is as personal as it gets for me. That experience shaped not just the kind of law I chose to practice, but the seriousness with which I approach it. When I'm working a case, I'm acutely aware of what my clients are experiencing, and that awareness fuels everything I do.
