Elizabeth is an associate practicing in the firm’s Toronto office.
Elizabeth’s practice focuses on tax litigation and dispute resolution in the context of Canadian commodity tax, including the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST), Goods and Services Tax (GST), and provincial sales taxes. She has represented clients in appeals before the Tax Court of Canada, Federal Court, Federal Court of Appeal, and in intervening to the Supreme Court of Canada. She also assists clients throughout the CRA’s administrative processes including audits, objections, voluntary disclosure, taxpayer relief applications, and collections disputes.
Before joining Thorsteinssons, Elizabeth practiced with the tax group of a national law firm and clerked for the judges of the Tax Court of Canada.
