Mr. Lacayo handles both transactional and litigation matters involving residential and commercial real estate. His practice includes representing clients in state and federal court in disputes related to real estate transactions, contracts, property ownership, landlord-tenant matters, and business-related conflicts. He also advises domestic and international clients in secured transactions involving residential and commercial properties.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Lacayo provides closing, title, and escrow services for residential and commercial real estate transactions. He is an approved title agent for First American National Title Insurance, Old Republic National Title Insurance, Chicago National Title Insurance, and Fidelity National Title Insurance.
Mr. Lacayo also assists clients with probate and estate planning matters throughout Florida. He represents personal representatives, beneficiaries, and families in probate administration and related court proceedings. His estate planning services include the preparation of wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, ladybird deeds, and related estate planning documents designed to help clients protect their assets and plan for the future.
Before founding and managing EJL LAW PLLC, Mr. Lacayo served in the legal department of a Fortune 500 company, where he worked on legal and regulatory matters involving multinational corporations, international government agencies, and complex commercial agreements. He also previously served as a partner at a full-service national law firm based in Atlanta, Georgia.
A Miami native, Mr. Lacayo is fluent in Spanish and regularly works with both domestic and international clients. Outside of his legal practice, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, music, outdoor activities, and sports.
