Edgar N. Romano is the managing partner of Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano LLPin New York, New York. He represents injured workers and individuals in matters involving workers’ compensation and Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs. His practice focuses on helping workers obtain benefits and pursuing claims related to workplace injuries, occupational diseases, and exposure to hazardous substances.
Mr. Romano earned his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Brandeis University and received his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. Throughout his career, he has litigated workers’ compensation claims involving occupational exposure, asbestos, and industrial irritants. He has also spoken frequently to labor unions and medical providers regarding workers’ compensation rights and workplace injury issues.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Romano has been active in numerous professional organizations related to workers’ compensation law and workplace safety. He is a Past President of the Workers Injury Law and Advocacy Group and has served as President of the Society of New York Workers’ Compensation Bar Association. He is also a member of the Leaders Forum of the American Association for Justice and previously served as Chair of the organization’s Workers’ Compensation Section.
Mr. Romano is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and the Jewish Lawyers Guild. He is also involved with the New York Committee for Occupational Safety & Health (NYCOSH). In addition, he serves on the Advisory Committee of the World Trade Center Medical Monitoring Program at Mount Sinai Hospital and on the Advisory Board of the I.J. Selikoff Center for Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
In March 2015, Mr. Romano was named a Fellow of the College of Workers’ Compensation, an organization recognizing attorneys who have made meaningful contributions to the practice of workers’ compensation law.
Mr. Romano has been selected for inclusion in the Super Lawyers list in the area of workers’ compensation from 2010 through 2020. Super Lawyers is a rating service that identifies attorneys from a range of practice areas based on peer nominations, independent research, and peer evaluations.
He has also been included in the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers in New York” by The National Trial Lawyers for multiple years. Membership in this organization is extended by invitation following a selection process that considers professional background and peer recognition.
