Dustin is a founding member of Simon | Paschal PLLC, an employment and business law boutique law firm in Frisco, Texas. Prior to starting and managing his own firm, Dustin exclusively practiced employment law at another law firm. Dustin has a degree in Human Resource Management from Baylor University and a law degree from Baylor Law School.
Dustin maintains an active advice and counsel practice in addition to his litigation work. Dustin’s practice focuses on the workplace and employment law matters. He also has experience with and provides services related to general contractual and commercial matters.
In his role as a litigator, Dustin regularly appears before state and federal courts and arbitration panels to advocate on behalf of his clients in hearings, injunction proceedings, and trials. Outside litigation, Dustin serves as an outside General Counsel for many of his clients, a role in which he regularly represents employers before the TWC, EEOC and various other government agencies, creates and implements employee and management training, reviews and drafts employment handbooks and policies and procedures, reviews and drafts various employment-related contracts, and provides regular advice and counseling on a myriad of Human Resources issues.
Service is a huge part of who Dustin is. Dustin currently serves as the Texas SHRM State Director. He was also a five-term member of the DAYL Board of Directors and a four-term member of the DallasHR Board of Directors, where he ultimately served as President. Dustin also served six years on the DallasHR Board of Trustees, including three as Chair. Dustin also served as a member of the Baylor University Human Resource Management Advisory Council. In addition to his service in industry based organizations, Dustin has a history of service to his community. Dustin currently serves on Frisco Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Frisco Chamber Foundation Board of Trustees, and the Frisco Education Foundation Board of Trustees. Dustin formerly served on the National Breast Cancer Foundation Advisory Council, including multiple years as its Chair, the Frisco ISD Legislative Leadership Committee, the Frisco ISD District of Innovation and Long Range Planning Committees, and the City of Frisco Parks and Recreation Board.
Dustin was selected as a Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2012 through 2019 and as a Texas Super Lawyer every year since 2019. Dustin has also been selected as a D Magazine Best Lawyer, and is AV Peer Rated Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell. In addition, his firm has been recognized by Chambers as a Texas Spotlight firm in the area of employment law.
Dustin has a passion for education and he regularly travels the state presenting on various employment topics to a host of organizations.
Dustin and his wife and son live in Frisco, Texas with two very rambunctious dogs.
