Douglas P. Jones

Douglas P. Jones is a shareholder in the Tallahassee (FL) office of Carr Allison. He has over 40 years of litigation and trial experience defending trucking companies, lawyers, physicians, and other professionals in suits across the state and before state licensing agencies. He has extensive experience defending professionals and other clients against claims involving complex issues, punitive damages, fraud and allegations of associated corporate misconduct.

Doug has served on the Board of Directors of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association and served as the chair of the organization’s Legislative Action Committee. He has lectured at numerous professional seminars including those related to Florida Defense Lawyers, DRI and has lectured on professional witness testimony at the Florida State University Center for Professional Development. Additionally, he has been published by the Florida Bar on representation of physicians in malpractice cases. Doug is an AV Preeminent® rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell® and was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® (2018-2026) in the area of medical malpractice law.

Doug is admitted to practice in all courts in Florida as well as before the US Supreme Court and the US District Court for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida.
