Doug Hofmann serves as both National and Regional Counsel for several major clients, with a practice centered on high-stakes litigation. Over the course of his career, Doug has tried more than 50 cases spanning a wide range of legal areas, including commercial disputes, construction, product liability, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, medical malpractice, toxic torts, defamation, insurance coverage, marine and aviation claims, and business matters involving unfair competition, royalties, trade secrets, and patents.

Doug not only defends complex litigation but also provides strategic counsel to companies on construction planning, risk management, and general liability exposure. He is regularly called upon to advise clients on nuanced insurance coverage issues.

Among his many trial achievements, two of Doug’s cases were named among the top ten most significant trials in the United States in their respective years. One of his most notable victories—a successful defense in a quadriplegia medical malpractice case—was chronicled in the book The Hall Chair.
