Biography
Disha Patel focuses her practice on complex litigation matters, particularly intellectual property disputes. Ms. Patel has represented clients – both patent holders and accused infringers – in cases involving a range of technologies. She also maintains an active pro bono practice, which has included defensive asylum proceedings, child support and custody litigation, and reproductive rights litigation. Ms. Patel has argued in federal district court, served as lead trial counsel in Massachusetts state court and argued before the Executive Office of Immigration Review. Ms. Patel participated in the firm’s District Attorney Rotation, spending six months on secondment at the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office as a Special Assistant District Attorney. During her secondment, Ms. Patel served as trial counsel in nearly a dozen bench and jury trials, argued motions to suppress, Commonwealth v. Long motions, and motions to dismiss. Ms. Patel began her career at WilmerHale as a summer associate in 2019 where she assisted with a class action immigration litigation and an appellate brief regarding immigration and the First Amendment.
