Biography

Dina De Giorgio has more than 30 years of experience handling divorces and other family law matters. Prior to joining Abrams Fensterman, LLP, she operated her own boutique law practice focused on representing clients in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

Dina is a tenacious advocate and pragmatic problem solver for her clients, both inside and outside the courtroom. Clients choose her because she is solution-oriented, remains focused on their objectives, and seeks to avoid protracted and unnecessary litigation whenever possible.

She combines her extensive knowledge of the law and experience as a litigator with her training as a mediator to craft innovative approaches and solutions designed to bring parties to a resolution without the cost, time, and emotional toll of lengthy litigation.

Dina is a member of the Matrimonial Law Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association, the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation, and the National Association of Divorce Professionals. She is also a board member of The Art Guild, a nonprofit organization located in Port Washington, New York.

In March 2023, while a partner at another distinguished law firm, Dina was recognized as a top provider of pro bono legal services in Nassau County. Long Island Business News named her a Leadership in Law honoree in 2023 and an Influencer in Law in 2024.

Dina served as a Councilwoman for the Town of North Hempstead from 2012 through 2019. During her tenure, she played an integral role in several community projects, including the development of Alvan Petrus Park in Port Washington, the restoration of the historic Mill Pond Model Yacht Club Boathouse, and the Annual Row for Autism, a charitable event that continues to take place at North Hempstead Beach Park.

In 2024, Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Jennifer DeSena and the Town Board appointed Dina to serve as a commissioner on the Landmarks Preservation Commission. She was also appointed by Councilmember Edward Scott to serve on the Town’s Legacy Committee.

Dina continues to serve the Port Washington community as a volunteer board member of The Art Guild and previously served a two-year term on the executive board of The Nicholas Center.

Dina graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University and earned her Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law.
