Devin Hayes is a Shareholder in the Labor and Employment Law Section of von Briesen & Roper, s.c. He represents clients in discrimination defense, FMLA defense, wage and hour defense including class/collective actions, OSHA defense, and employment litigation avoidance strategies. Devin advises clients on employee handbooks and policies, compliance with state and federal employment law, and retention and recruitment issues. He also conducts I-9 audits and provides supervision and management training on all aspects of employment law. Devin is listed in Best Lawyers: Ones To Watch in Labor and Employment Law-Management (2022).
Prior to joining von Briesen, Devin worked for Milwaukee Public Schools where he focused on employee discipline, grievances, collective bargaining, FLSA compliance, and other employment relations matters.
Devin is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Bar Association and the Milwaukee Young Lawyers Association. He is a member of the i.c. stars |* milwaukee Advisory Board, an immersive technology workforce training and placement program for underserved young adults. He is a member of the Wisconsin Humane Society Advisory Board, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to build a community where people value animals and treat them with respect and kindness. In addition, he is a mentor for the firm’s Summer Associate Committee.
