Desislava Hristova

Dessie has always had a passion for immigration law and during her career she worked in Europe and Australia.

While she initially gained a Bachelor of Law from Sofia University, Bulgaria she followed this up with a Master of Law and Legal Practice from the University of Technology Sydney, Australia, and a Graduate Certificate in European Law and Legal Systems from University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.

She was admitted to practice as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Supreme Court of Victoria. Assent Migration Lawyers was founded by Dessie as principal to provide a highly personalised expert visa and immigration service.

Dessie is an active member of the Migration and Refugee Law Reform Committees at the Law Institute of Victoria, as well as being a member of the Law Council of Australia, and Migration Institute of Australia. Dessie has presented professional development training programs to migration agents and lawyers.
