Denise De Mory is the managing partner and co‑founder of Bunsow De Mory LLP in Redwood City, California. Her practice focuses on Litigation - Intellectual Property and Litigation - Patent, representing clients in complex disputes involving patents and other intellectual property rights. She has litigated more than 150 patent and intellectual property cases in courts across the United States, including major patent venues in California, Texas, and Delaware.
Denise is a seasoned trial lawyer who has taken more than a dozen cases through trial to verdict. Among these matters was the U.S. v. Microsoft antitrust litigation. She served on the Justice Department’s trial team, where she deposed executive‑level Microsoft witnesses and the chief architect of Internet Explorer and presented one of the government’s technical witnesses at trial.
Her experience also includes numerous proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, where she has handled dozens of inter partes review petitions. Denise has also briefed and argued appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Denise represents a wide range of clients, including universities, university researchers, startups, and individual inventors. She works with clients to protect and enforce intellectual property rights and to pursue litigation strategies that support their business and research goals. Her work frequently involves disputes with significantly larger law firms and companies in high‑stakes patent litigation matters.

Outside the office, Denise enjoys traveling with her family. She is also a certified sewing instructor with a passion for costume design and construction and enjoys taking math classes in her spare time.
