Dawna Steelman structures and closes real estate transactions financed through federal and state tax credits, with a focus on low-income housing (LIHTC), historic preservation and solar tax credits. As counsel to investors, syndicators and developers, she has closed more than 200 deals around the country with more than $2B in equity. Along with structuring transactions, she negotiates the construction and permanent financing (including tax-exempt bonds and public and private grants and loans) and equity syndication in order to augment tax benefits and investment returns for her clients.
