Biography
David is part of the Commercial Real Estate Practice Group at Harris Beach Murtha, located in Uniondale, New York. This group works with commercial developers, institutional lenders, corporations, partnerships, not-for-profits, and other entities in various aspects of commercial real estate such as development, financing, sales, purchases, and leasing. Our services cover a range of projects including shopping centers, hospitals, colleges, schools, office parks, and industrial developments.
With a focus on Banking and Finance Law, David assists institutional and private lenders in handling diverse commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, refinances, construction financing, and revolving credit facilities. He also provides counsel in transactions related to financings, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, redevelopment, land use, and zoning. His thorough approach to conducting due diligence encompasses reviewing title reports, civil engineering plans, organizational documents, commercial leases, and property surveys. This helps facilitate the purchase, financing, and development of mixed-use, multi-family, office, and industrial properties. David has the capability to appear before local municipalities to secure zoning and legislative approvals for real estate developments.
Beyond his expertise in commercial real estate, David has experience with bars, restaurants, hotels, and beverage wholesalers and manufacturers. He represents these entities before regulatory bodies such as the New York State Liquor Authority, New York City Department of Consumer Affairs, and the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau. His background includes an internship with the New York State Liquor Authority’s Office of Counsel during law school.
