David S. Shughart specializes in the areas of personal injury and insurance litigation. He primarily represents injured individuals and insurance policyholders.
Mr. Shughart became a partner in the law firm of Beale, Micheaels, Slack & Shughart, PC in 2013. From 2000 to 2012, Mr. Shughart had his own firm, David S. Shughart P.C., and primarily handled personal injury and insurance-related cases. Prior to that, from 1993 to 2000, he was a partner at a Phoenix law firm representing civil defendants and insurance companies.
Throughout his more than twenty years of practice, Mr. Shughart has successfully tried more than 25 cases to verdict and arbitrated hundreds of others in the areas of insurance bad faith, insurance coverage, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, products liability and medical malpractice. He has argued cases in the Arizona Court of Appeals and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Shughart holds a preeminent-AV rating in the Martindale-Hubbell national registry of preeminent lawyers, and has been listed annually for several consecutive years in Best Lawyers In America, Super Lawyers, and Arizona's Finest Lawyers.
