David M. Mayer is the managing shareholder of Monsees & Mayer, P.C., based in Kansas City, Missouri. His practice focuses on Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs and Product Liability Litigation – Plaintiffs, representing individuals harmed by negligence and unsafe conditions. David regularly advocates for victims of sexual abuse, motor vehicle accidents, and premises liability incidents. As a Kansas City native, he is committed to helping clients, particularly children and elderly individuals, pursue accountability for injuries caused by the negligence of others.
David has handled a wide range of complex personal injury and product liability matters, including cases involving dangerous premises, defective products, and serious vehicle collisions. His case results include a $5 million jury verdict arising from a swimming pool negligence incident, a $24 million jury verdict in a sexual abuse case, and multiple confidential settlements in sexual abuse litigation. David earned his undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Economics from Boston College before obtaining his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law. While in law school, he was named a Victor Wilson Scholar and received the American Jurisprudence Award. He is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas and is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for both states as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
In addition to his litigation practice, David is actively involved in community service throughout Missouri and Kansas. He volunteers with legal aid organizations and serves on nonprofit boards, reflecting a long-standing commitment to public service and access to justice.
