Biography
David is an associate in RAR’s Construction and Infrastructure Litigation Group. He focuses on complex construction disputes across Canada, including litigation, arbitration, adjudication, and mediation. He has acted on matters involving some of the country’s largest infrastructure projects as well as specialized developments, giving him insight into the practical challenges that arise across the construction industry.
David represents owners, contractors, design professionals, including engineers and architects, consultants, sureties, and insurers in disputes involving public transit, mining, hospital, condominium, and commercial projects. His experience spans design-build, EPC/EPCM and P3 delivery models and includes claims involving delay, deficiencies, breach of contract, insurance and bond coverage, construction liens, and breach of trust.
Clients can expect clear, strategic advice grounded in commercial realities.
Alongside his legal practice, David is an Adjunct Professor in Durham College’s Faculty of Science and Engineering Technology, teaching construction contract administration and law. He also contributes to construction industry publications and is recognized as a “One to Watch” by Best Lawyers Canada®.
