David J. Rashid joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. in 2023, focusing on catastrophic personal injury, medical negligence, and wrongful death cases. He has expertise in medical malpractice cases involving misdiagnosis, surgical errors, birth injuries, emergency room errors, and strokes. In his first trial with the firm, he secured a $32.7 million jury verdict for a man who underwent a foot amputation due to a delayed blood clot diagnosis, the largest Illinois verdict for such a loss. Before joining the firm, Rashid worked at a prominent Chicago personal injury law firm, achieving over $130 million in verdicts and settlements. He holds records for medical malpractice verdicts and settlements in various Illinois counties. Rashid also completed a judicial clerkship with the U.S. Office of Military Commissions in 2010. Rashid is a member of several legal organizations, including the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. He has published articles and lectured on medical malpractice and trial advocacy at institutions like the University of Notre Dame Law School. In 2023, he presented at Mount Sinai Hospital’s Medical Grand Rounds and has appeared on various legal podcasts. In his personal life, Rashid enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, reading, and following sports.
