In his first trial with Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard, Mr. Rashid obtained the $32.7 million jury verdict in a medical negligence case involving the failure to recognize signs of a blood clot that ultimately resulted in the loss of his client's foot. The verdict is the highest Illinois verdict for the loss of one leg or foot. Mr. Rashid also holds records for medical malpractice verdicts in Cook County and medical malpractice settlements in Cook, Richland and Crawford Counties. In 2026, he was part of a trial team that obtained a $241 million jury verdict for the family of a Missouri man who died while transporting dry ice as part of his work as a courier.
Mr. Rashid takes a meticulous and analytical approach to medical malpractice litigation. In 2023, he presented Medical Grand Rounds to the Departments of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Before joining Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. in 2023, Mr. Rashid practiced at another prominent Chicago personal injury firm, where he secured more than $130 million in verdicts and settlements. He began his legal career as a law clerk with the Office of the Chief Prosecutor for the U.S. Office of Military Commissions.
