Awarded Practice Areas
Biography
David Hodge, a Madison County native, grew up on his family’s cotton farm near New Market, where he learned the value of hard work. He earned his law degree with honors from the University of Alabama in 2000 after graduating from Samford University, where he was active on the debate team.
After clerking for a U.S. District Court judge and spending a decade at a Birmingham law firm, Hodge returned home in 2010 to launch his current practice. He focuses on products-liability cases, mass torts, and small-business representation. His notable wins include a $17.5 million verdict for a timber company and a $3.2 million verdict for a pig farmer.
Hodge has secured over $50 million in verdicts and settlements nationwide and is active in MDL leadership, AAJ litigation groups, and judicial committees. Outside the courtroom, he enjoys family time, church activities, quail hunting, and fly fishing.
