David has concurrently held both Law and CPA licenses for over 30 years. David’s law practice focuses on estate planning, probating wills, trust creation/administration, probate avoidance, federal transfer tax planning and related topics. He assists high net worth clients with sophisticated tax planning through the formation of trusts, private foundations, gifting strategies, and other generational wealth transfer techniques. David also assists clients with incapacity planning, special needs planning, and premarital/marital agreements. In addition to estate planning, David also assists clients with various business transactions including entity formation, real estate transactions, buy/sell agreements, and asset protection structures.
In addition to his law practice, David is also a member of the faculty at St Mary’s University School of Law where he’s taught estate planning/trust law for over 15 years. He's a member of the American Bar Association and is accredited by the American Institute of CPAs as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS). He's also a member of the Texas Bar College, the Texas Society of CPAs, the San Antonio Bar Association, San Antonio Estate Planner’s Council, and holds a Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS) designation.
