For over three decades, David has represented local, regional and national clients in a variety of commercial real estate matters including the acquisition, financing, development, management, leasing and sale of all classes of commercial properties.
Special areas of concentration include complex financing (acquisition, construction, securitized and portfolio loans), the formation, management and operation of closely held limited liability companies, limited partnerships and other joint venture entities, land assemblage and large-scale developments, large-scale industrial, ground and other commercial leases, and the creation of condominium regimes.
David’s clients appreciate his vast experience and ability to bring about prompt and successful completion to their projects through his creative and thorough analysis as well as the overall value he brings to those projects. Born and raised in Houston, David has many familial and professional connections to the city and is knowledgeable about the city’s vibrant commercial real estate market, enabling him to better serve his clients’ objectives. As a valued member of the firm, David has served several terms on the firm’s management committee, held the position of the firm’s recruiting director, and mentors associates in their continued professional development.
David is Board Certified in Commercial Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has been recognized repeatedly for his expertise in commercial real estate law in The Best Lawyers in America© and as a “Top Rated Real Estate Attorney in Houston, TX” according to the Super Lawyers® rankings. David currently serves on the State Bar of Texas Real Estate Forms Manual Committee.
