David's practice has been concentrated in general commercial litigation, trust and estate litigation, insurance issues, healthcare matters, and employment-related disputes. For example, David has worked on a variety of contract, partnership and joint venture disputes, securities fraud and class action litigation, RICO claims, and financial institution disputes. David has also represented beneficiaries challenging trust administration practices, individuals challenging or defending wills, and corporate fiduciaries defending their actions as executors and trustees.
David has represented individual and corporate policyholders, and insurance agencies and commercial insurers, in lawsuits involving insurance practices and disputed coverage, bad faith allegations, and interpretation of reinsurance treaties. David has also advised employees and employers concerning noncompetition agreements, and litigated whistleblower and wrongful discharge claims, claims for breach of employment contract, and class action claims involving failure to pay overtime pay.
From 2002-06, David served on the Kentucky Board of Education. David has handled a range of pro bono matters, including litigation seeking public records concerning abusive treatment of individuals with disabilities, litigation defending a gay rights group from claims of an unlawful political boycott, and litigation successfully challenging the unconstitutionality of state funding of private religious college programs.
