David A. Shaw

David Shaw is a Member in the Seattle office of Williams Kastner, with a practice focused primarily on defending asbestos-related claims. He is a seasoned trial attorney who serves on multiple national trial teams representing asbestos defendants and has taken numerous cases to verdict across the country.

David has tried asbestos cases in state courts in Washington, Alaska, Tennessee, California, Texas, Illinois, Maryland, and New York, as well as in the U.S. District Courts for Alaska, Nevada, and both the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington. His appellate experience is equally extensive, having argued cases before the full range of Washington appellate courts, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. Court of Claims, and the Alaska Supreme Court.

In recognition of his work, Seattle Met magazine named David a “Top Lawyer” in Product Liability in 2010, based on his AV Preeminent® peer-review rating from Martindale-Hubbell—the highest rating available. He has also been honored in The Best Lawyers in America® for his work in Arbitration for 2024–2025.
