Darien K. Blair is a Senior Associate in Peckar & Abramson PC’s Construction & Infrastructure and Business Litigation practices. He is based in New York, New York and focuses his work on Construction Law and Litigation – Construction.
Darien is a seasoned litigator who advises and represents owners, construction managers, general contractors, and sureties in a broad range of construction-related disputes. His practice includes civil and complex commercial litigation matters involving contract interpretation and enforcement, construction defect claims, payment and performance bond claims, mechanic’s lien claims, and delay and disruption claims arising from public and private construction projects.
With a practice centered on construction litigation in New York and other jurisdictions, Darien works closely with clients throughout all stages of disputes, from pre-litigation counseling through trial and alternative dispute resolution. His work regularly involves coordinating with project stakeholders and industry professionals to address technical and contractual issues common to large-scale construction matters.
Darien earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University at Buffalo and his Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. While in law school, he was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, the Minority Law Students Alliance, and served as Secretary of the Black Law Students Association.
