Biography

Daniel is certified as a Specialist in Construction Law by the Law Society of Ontario and is a member of Koskie Minsky’s Construction Law Group. He is an experienced litigator whose practice is focused primarily on construction lien and general construction disputes. Daniel regularly represents clients from all levels of the construction industry, including sureties, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and labour unions. The dynamic nature of Daniel’s practice sees him working with clients throughout Canada, helping to navigate complex multi-party disputes involving lien claims, delay claims, surety claims, priority disputes, breach of trust actions and enforcement proceedings. As these matters often overlap with insolvency proceedings, Daniel routinely advises clients on issues at the intersection of construction law and insolvency law.

In addition to his construction practice, Daniel also has extensive experience assisting international clients enforce Letters Rogatory and foreign judgments within Canada. He is an outside-the-box thinker and a steadfast advocate who approaches all disputes with a pragmatic and strategic view to resolution.

Daniel has conducted construction law seminars and has been a speaker at continuing legal education programs. Additionally, Daniel is a contributor to the current Construction Law Bar Admission Course materials and is Member-at-Large of the OBA Construction and Infrastructure Law section.
