Daniel “Danny” Ramirez represents public and private employers in labor, employment, and immigration matters throughout Houston, Texas and across the country. As a partner at Monty & Ramirez LLP, Danny advises businesses on a wide range of workplace and workforce issues, including employment law compliance, labor relations, workplace investigations, employee discipline, wage and hour matters, discrimination and retaliation claims, and Form I-9 compliance. His practice areas include Employment Law - Management, Labor Law - Management, and Litigation - Labor and Employment.
Danny regularly counsels employers on human resources strategies designed to reduce risk and address workplace disputes efficiently. He represents companies, government agencies, and educational institutions in litigation, arbitration, administrative proceedings, and appeals involving labor and employment disputes. He also assists employers during government investigations and immigration-related enforcement actions, including ICE audits and workplace raids, while helping organizations implement practical Form I-9 policies and procedures.
His clients have included national and regional businesses, public entities, educational institutions, franchise owners, and privately held companies of various sizes, including numerous McDonald’s and Walgreens operators, the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, Lone Star College, and Houston Community College.
Danny is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is a graduate of The University of Texas School of Law. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers for his work representing employers in labor and employment matters. Danny combines litigation experience with practical business counseling, helping clients address disputes while remaining focused on operational and organizational goals. He works closely with employers to develop strategies that align with their legal, financial, and business objectives.
In addition to his legal practice, Danny has remained active in civic and professional organizations throughout the Houston community. A second-generation U.S. Navy service member, he previously served as chair of the Harris County Sheriff’s Civil Service Commission and as president of the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston, where he continues to serve as a board member. He currently serves as a commissioner for the City of Houston’s Civil Service Commission and has received a Certificate of Special U.S. Congressional Recognition for his work supporting military families. Danny is also a graduate of Leadership Houston and enjoys coaching his son’s soccer teams.
