Dan Wilband is a labour and employment lawyer with VanBuskirk Law serving clients throughout Atlantic Canada. His practice focuses on Labour and Employment Law, including workplace disputes, human rights matters, collective agreement issues, constitutional law, and complex negotiations. Since 2016, Dan has represented both employers and employees in unionized and non-unionized workplaces before courts and administrative tribunals.
Before joining VanBuskirk Law, Dan practised labour and employment law in several settings, including at two prominent labour law firms and as in-house counsel to a union local. His experience includes advising clients on workplace policies, employment disputes, labour relations matters, and human rights concerns.
Daniel earned his law degree from McGill University and served as a law clerk at the Court of Appeal for Ontario. He has also taught the Labour Law course at Dalhousie University and the Employment Law course at UNB, contributing to the education of future legal professionals in the area of workplace and labour relations law.
Dan is a member of the Nova Scotia Bar and the New Brunswick Bar. He lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia and works with clients through VanBuskirk Law’s Saint John, New Brunswick office.
