Attorney Daniel “Dan” O’Malley joined Raleigh Divorce Law Firm in September 2025. Since 2010, he has focused his practice on family law matters for clients in Raleigh, Wake County, and surrounding areas throughout North Carolina. Dan is a Board Certified Specialist in Family Law by the North Carolina State Bar.
Dan represents individuals and families in a broad range of North Carolina family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, alimony, separation agreements, mediation, and alienation of affection claims. His practice also involves complex family law litigation involving substantial marital estates, business valuations and interests, long-term support issues, and high-conflict custody disputes.
At Raleigh Divorce Law Firm, Dan works closely with clients to provide practical guidance and clear communication throughout the legal process. He helps clients understand their rights, evaluate available options, and make informed decisions based on their individual circumstances and goals.
Dan regularly assists clients through negotiation, mediation, and courtroom litigation. He prepares each case thoroughly and advocates for his clients’ interests in North Carolina family courts. His approach is focused on helping clients address both the legal and personal challenges that often arise in family law matters.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Dan lived in Illinois, Maryland, and Pennsylvania before making Raleigh, North Carolina his home. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Juniata University and graduated cum laude from Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dan primarily represents clients in Wake County and also handles family law matters in Johnston, Harnett, Lee, Durham, Chatham, Orange, and Franklin counties.
He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, Wake County Bar Association, and 10th Judicial District Bar.
