Dan Haskell has more than four decades of experience lobbying on behalf of his clients before the Tennessee General Assembly. Dan regularly meets with officials and government representatives to discuss and monitor proposed and current legislation, and is frequently called upon to testify before various house and senate committees to leverage or influence his client’s position on proposed legislation. Dan appears before state legislative committees and regulatory boards and commissions, and maintains solid working relationships with key personnel at the myriad of agencies that oversee commercial endeavors.

Dan served as the principle lobbyist for the creation of the new $600 million Music City Center, which opened to the public in 2013. On behalf of the Music City Center Coalition, Dan handled the state legislation over several years, as well as the local council approvals for the project. The legislation created the authorization for the building, as well as the revenue streams needed to pay for the development.
Dan is one of the leading practitioners in areas concerning alcoholic beverages, having served as Counsel and Assistant Director of the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission from 1981 to 1985.
Dan currently serves as General Counsel for the Tennessee Hospitality & Tourism Association and the Tennessee Business Roundtable. He also sits on the board of the Tennessee Business Roundtable.
He was corporate counsel at Gaylord Entertainment Co for 13 years, rising to the title of Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary.
Dan has been Chairman of both the Tennessee Jobs Coalition and the Nashville Business Coalition. He is currently serving as General Counsel of the Nashville Business Coalition. He is a former board member, Issues committee chair, and two-time volunteer of the year at the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as being the former President of the Tennessee chapter of the American Corporate Counsel Association.
