Cristi Trusler founded Trusler Legal PLLC in 2001 and has practiced family law in Austin and Travis County since that time. She is Board Certified in Family Law and Child Welfare Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and holds a Master Credential in Collaborative Divorce from Collaborative Divorce Texas. Her practice focuses on thoughtful, practical solutions for families while maintaining preparation for court when litigation is necessary.
When Cristi began practicing collaborative divorce in Central Texas in 2002, the process was still relatively new in Travis County. She was among the early practitioners to help develop collaborative law in the area. Today, Trusler Legal PLLC assists clients with family law matters involving collaborative divorce, mediated negotiation, parenting arrangements, property division, and trial preparation.
The firm serves clients in Austin and throughout Central Texas, including Travis, Williamson, Hays, Comal, Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Llano, and Caldwell counties. Each matter is approached with attention to the family’s circumstances, goals, and legal needs. Cristi is licensed to practice law in Texas, where she has been licensed since 1997, as well as Utah and Colorado. She has been selected to Super Lawyers from 2022 through 2026 and was selected to the Rising Stars list in 2008 and 2009.
