Courtney Baldwin is a senior associate attorney with Beattie, Westmont & Simpson, LLC. She has focused her legal career primarily on practicing family law, while also handling certain estate planning and probate matters.
Ms. Baldwin earned her J.D. from Wake Forest School of Law in May of 2017. Ms. Baldwin represents clients in a variety of domestic relations cases including complex divorce and legal separation proceedings, parental responsibility (child custody) actions, child support and spousal support establishment and modifications, post-decree parenting disputes, and common law marriage actions. Ms. Baldwin also handles uncontested probate matters and assists clients in preparing wills and powers of attorney for estate planning.
In 2025, Ms. Baldwin received the First Judicial District Bar Association’s George Holley Outstanding Young Lawyer Award. Ms. Baldwin has served as an elected member on the Board of Directors for the Jefferson County Bar Association and on the Executive Council of the Denver Bar Association, YLD. Ms. Baldwin has been recognized as a Rising Star in the 2024-2026 publications of Super Lawyers and has received the Client’s Choice Award from Avvo consecutively since 2018. Ms. Baldwin has written articles which were published in the November 2022 edition of the Colorado Lawyer and in the July 2024 edition of The Docket and she has also contributed as an author of the Family Relations section of the Colorado Senior Law Handbook each year since 2023.
Ms. Baldwin is a current member of the 1st Judicial District’s Continuing Legal Education (“CLE”) Planning Committee where she organizes presentations to educate other attorneys. She has also served on the Publications Committee for The Docket, the official publication of the Denver Bar Association. Ms. Baldwin has presented lectures on several family law topics including how to gain parental rights as a psychological parent and how to admit evidence at trial, a presentation given during the annual Family Law Institute.
