Biography
Cornelius F. “Lee” Banta, Jr. is a Partner in Peckar & Abramson PC’s Houston, Texas office, where his practice focuses on Construction Law and complex commercial disputes.
Lee represents owners, contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers in construction-related matters involving delay and lost productivity claims, lien and bond disputes, construction defect litigation, and related commercial issues. His work includes matters handled in arbitration as well as state and federal courts, and he regularly assists clients throughout all phases of the dispute resolution process.
Lee earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center, where he received the Susman Godfrey L.L.P. Award for Outstanding Paper in the Area of General Litigation in 2015. While in law school, he served as a Senior Notes & Comments Editor for the Houston Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Barons and the Dean’s Scholarship program. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Amherst College.
