Colt Burnett

Colt Burnett is an Associate in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP's Atlanta office. Mr. Burnett’s practice focuses on assisting clients at all stages of employment litigation. He is a member of the Labor & Employment Practice Section. Before joining Freeman, Mathis, & Gary, Mr. Burnett worked at a prominent plaintiff’s civil rights firm.

Mr. Burnett graduated magna cum laude from the Georgia State University College of Law, where he served on the Georgia State University Law Review and as a pupil in the Bleckley Inn of Court. Mr. Burnett was also a teaching assistant for his school’s legal writing course, Lawyering: Foundations. After receiving his J.D., Mr. Burnett clerked for the Honorable Benjamin W. Cheesbro of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia. During law school, he interned for the Honorable Leigh Martin May of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Mr. Burnett's interests include cooking, hiking, and traveling.
