Biography
Colin skillfully guides businesses and non-profit organizations through crucial tax decisions at the federal, state, and local levels.
He focuses his practice on federal income tax, including formation, structure, and operation of tax-exempt entities, low-income housing and alternative energy tax credits, mergers and acquisitions, fund formation, and a variety of other corporate and partnership tax matters. He also helps businesses find efficient tax solutions through his experience working on a range of state and local transactional taxation issues, including sales and use tax considerations for asset transactions and property tax exemptions. Clients of all sizes look to Colin for advice on a variety of business tax decisions in industries including energy and resources, oil and gas, and pet care.
Before joining Holland & Hart, Colin worked as an Appellate Law Clerk for Judge Anthony J. Navarro of the Colorado Court of Appeals, where he drafted nearly 30 civil and criminal judicial opinions.
