Biography

Clay Hester is a commercial litigation attorney at Spotts Fain PC in Richmond, Virginia. He represents businesses and individuals in a broad range of disputes in state and federal courts, including complex contract and business disputes, construction litigation, employment litigation, and intellectual property litigation.

Clay works closely with clients to develop practical strategies focused on resolving disputes efficiently and effectively. In addition to courtroom litigation, he regularly represents clients in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations, including matters involving high-value business and commercial claims.

Clay also has substantial experience managing complex discovery matters, including the collection, review, and production of electronically stored information in large-scale litigation. His practice includes advising clients through all phases of the litigation process, from pre-suit evaluation through trial preparation and resolution.

Before joining Spotts Fain PC, Clay practiced with a North Carolina law firm that served as national and regional counsel to clients in the trucking and aviation industries. That experience provided him with insight into the operational and regulatory issues businesses face across multiple industries.

Clay is licensed to practice law in Virginia and North Carolina.
