Biography
Christopher T. Nace is the Managing Member of Nace Law Group Accident & Injury Lawyers (previously Paulson & Nace, PLLC) in Washington, District of Columbia. He represents plaintiffs in Medical Malpractice Law, Personal Injury Litigation, and Product Liability Litigation, and works across the firm’s practice areas, including medical malpractice, legal malpractice, drug and product liability, motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, and other negligence-based injury claims.
Born in Washington, D.C., Mr. Nace earned his undergraduate degree in Government from Georgetown University in 1998. He received his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in 2003, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Emory Law Journal. In the same year, he earned a Master of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School through the JD/MBA program. During his studies, he was named the Rothfeder Family Scholar and received the Emory School of Law Dean’s Public Service Award.
Prior to joining Nace Law Group in February 2007, Mr. Nace practiced with the Atlanta office of the national law firm Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. He worked as an associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation Group, representing plaintiffs in complex patent infringement cases, and also handled business litigation and employment liability matters.
Mr. Nace is a Past President of the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C.
He has served as Past-Chair of the American Association for Justice New Lawyers Division and its Membership Oversight Committee. Mr. Nace is a member of the AAJ Executive Committee and Board of Governors, and also serves on the Executive Committee of the Public Justice Foundation. He is the current Treasurer of the Pound Civil Justice Institute and serves on the Board of the Living Classrooms Foundation for the National Capital Region.
Mr. Nace has tried numerous medical malpractice cases to jury verdict in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and West Virginia. His litigation experience includes securing a multi-million dollar settlement in medical malpractice matters in Washington, D.C. and West Virginia, as well as participating on a team that obtained a reversal of dismissal in a data breach case before the Circuit Court for the District of Columbia.
Mr. Nace has received multiple honors from the American Association for Justice, including the Distinguished Service Award on two occasions, as well as the Wiedman Wysoki Award, the Heavy Lifting Award, and the Above & Beyond Award. He has also been recognized by Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers, and Washingtonian Magazine.
