Christopher M. Candon is a Co-Chair of the firm’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors’ Rights Group at Sheehan Phinney Bass & Green PA in Manchester, New Hampshire. His practice focuses on representing clients in matters involving financially distressed businesses, commercial law, and insolvency-related issues. Chris works with debtors, creditors, committees, purchasers, landlords, and trustees in workouts, out-of-court restructurings, Chapter 11 reorganizations and asset sales, and Chapter 7 liquidations. His practice includes matters involving Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights / Insolvency and Reorganization Lawas well as Corporate Law.
Chris regularly advises clients on transactional and litigation matters arising in bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings. He represents parties in claim and plan negotiations and related litigation, relief from stay proceedings, valuation disputes, cash collateral and DIP financing matters, and fraudulent transfer and preference actions. His experience also includes bankruptcy appellate matters throughout New England and in courts across the United States.
In addition to his restructuring and insolvency work, Chris assists businesses with complex commercial transactions and corporate matters. He has experience negotiating and documenting asset purchase agreements, secured and unsecured financing arrangements, letters of credit, DIP and exit financing transactions, and a variety of other corporate and commercial agreements.
Chris also advises clients on commercial real estate matters, including the preparation and negotiation of commercial leases and representing both landlords and tenants in leasing transactions. Through this work, he provides practical guidance to businesses operating in Manchester, New Hampshire and throughout the region on issues involving bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, restructuring, and corporate law.
