Biography

Christopher J. Oddo represents individual and corporate landowners across Texas in eminent domain and condemnation matters, as well as litigation involving land use and zoning issues. Based in Austin, Texas, he focuses his practice on helping property owners address complex disputes involving government takings, valuation, infrastructure projects, and related real property matters.

Mr. Oddo is a partner at Barron Adler Clough & Oddo PLLC, where he has practiced since 2015. Before joining the firm, he was a partner at McGinnis Lochridge and founded the firm’s Eminent Domain and Inverse Condemnation Practice Group, serving as its Chair. Earlier in his career, he served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas. He has extensive courtroom experience and has tried more than 30 cases to conclusion.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Oddo serves as an assistant Adjunct Professor at The University of Texas School of Law, where he teaches advocacy-related coursework as an Advocacy Specialist. He has held numerous leadership positions within the legal community, including serving as President of the Austin Bar Association, Director on the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors, Vice-Chair of the Land Use and Environmental Group of the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section, and Chair of the Austin Bar Foundation. He is also a longtime member of the Lloyd Lochridge American Inn of Court.

Mr. Oddo has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America for Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law and Litigation - Land Use and Zoning. He has also been recognized by Austin Monthly for his work representing landowners in eminent domain matters throughout Texas.
