Biography
Chris Mangum is the head of the Global Services Committee, which oversees the international practice of Alston & Bird. He concentrates his practice on acquisitions, joint ventures and international business transactions, both outbound and inbound. On behalf of U.S., European and Latin American investors, Mr. Mangum handles acquisitions and joint ventures in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Venezuela and Vietnam.
Mr. Mangum has served on the board of directors of numerous companies and has served as an executive for client portfolio companies in the past. This experience gives Mr. Mangum a business perspective, as well as a legal perspective, in solving clients’ problems.
Mr. Mangum represents large financial investors and private equity funds in putting together complicated global transactions with a focus on emerging markets.
Mr. Mangum received his J.D., with honors, from Duke University Law School and his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina.
