Christopher McMillan’s practice focuses on Construction Law, Commercial Litigation, and Real Estate Law. He represents owners, contractors, design professionals, and other participants in construction and real estate matters throughout Texas.
His construction law practice includes design and construction-related litigation and arbitration, complex construction contracts, and risk mitigation strategies. Mr. McMillan also has experience with renewable energy projects, including disputes involving the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of solar and wind farms.
Mr. McMillan represents clients in multi-party construction disputes involving contract claims, project delays, construction defects, design issues, payment disputes, and other matters related to the development and delivery of construction projects.
Before beginning his legal career, Mr. McMillan worked as a construction project manager overseeing vertical and horizontal construction projects. His experience in the construction industry, together with his degree in Construction Science and legal training, informs his practical, business-oriented approach to complex construction and real estate matters. He develops focused strategies and explains legal and project-related issues in clear, actionable terms.
Mr. McMillan received his undergraduate degree in Construction Science from Texas A&M University and his J.D. from St. Mary’s University. He practices with CM Law, LLP in Austin, Texas.
