Christopher A. Page
Awarded Practice Areas
Biography
“Chris is just really willing to get in and get the job done. He understands the need to balance costs against trial preparation. He’s also willing to say, this isn’t my area, let me refer you to somebody else.”
The above quote, from a national construction client with outside counsel in nearly every state, was shared with Thomson Reuters, the company behind Westlaw, during its global research with senior in-house counsel to identify top-performing lawyers in private practice. The client nominated Chris Page as one of the three most outstanding attorneys they had worked with in the past three years, earning him recognition as a Thomson Reuters 2025 “Stand-out Lawyer.”
The Associate General Counsel/ Director of Litigation for a national restaurant client stated at an international legal conference that whenever a “bad” case comes in—no matter where it arises—her first recommendation is to retain Chris.
The General Counsel of another national restaurant client summed it up simply: “When we get in a strange matter that we don’t know how to solve, we call you. You are a problem solver.”
Chris Page is a shareholder at Young Moore and Henderson and brings more than 32 years and counting of jury trial, bench trial, and arbitration experience to helping clients solve their most complex problems. He represents a broad array of commercial clients, with a practice focused on commercial litigation, employment litigation, non-compete disputes, product liability, construction litigation, and tort matters. He also has particular experience in the hospitality and retail industries, serving as trusted counsel to numerous national companies for all of their legal needs in North Carolina, including tort claims, employment claims, product liability claims, and business litigation.
Since beginning his career after graduating from Duke University, summa cum laude, and Yale Law School, where he served as Senior Editor of the Yale Law Review, Chris has served as lead trial counsel in numerous state and federal jury and bench trials with successful results. He believes that the core principle of practicing law is not business or law; rather, it is service and problem solving. He builds strong client relationships with his clients by listening carefully, being straightforward and honest, understanding their goals in each case, working diligently to achieve those goals, always keeping the “big picture” in mind, and—when trial is inevitable—going into trial with confidence by out-preparing the other side and being able to persuasively convey his client’s story to judge or jury.
Chris has been listed in North Carolina Super Lawyers® in the area of commercial litigation since 2018 and continuing into 2026. Selection to the Super Lawyers list is an honor given to only 5% of attorneys in the North Carolina.

Chris is a frequent speaker on litigation, business, and “life coaching” topics, being selected numerous times over the past 15 years as the Opening or Closing plenary presenter at ALFAI’s annual international legal conferences, attended by hundreds of attorneys and clients from all over the globe. Chris brings his passion for creative storytelling to creating “outside the box” presentations with music, lighting, audience interactive feedback, art, pop culture, live instruments, and theater rolled into one. Chris has transformed hotel ballrooms into various recreations: a Wild West town, a Chicago blues saloon, and this past year, into an authentic Irish pub with live musicians. Chris presents a few times a year, and while he has presented many times on straightforward trial and legal topics, his true passion has been presenting on life coaching topics like work-life balance, depression, stress, drug and alcohol abuse, health crises and family matters. Emotional reactions from audience members are common and memorable. One GC who had attended one of Chris’s presentations on work-life balance sent Chris an email called “Ripples.” He said that the presentation would have a ripple effect, and would change the lives for the better of not only him and his legal team, but all of their families as well. He said the ripples would travel on.
Chris is a proud father to three children, all Tar Heel grads! Chris spent 8 years with his son achieving his black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Chris’ charitable work includes volunteering for the Special Olympics, the Food Bank of Eastern North Carolina, and in recent months, serving as a waiter at “A Place at the Table” in downtown Raleigh. (Click here to see what a wonderful organization this is.). In the past, Chris volunteered for the Ronald McDonald House of Durham and Wake, for which he also served on its Board of Trustees. Chris also was a regular driver for Meals on Wheels for 20 years. You will find Chris at a jazz or bluegrass concert a couple of times a week.
